As a "Non-Admin", I think this was the most clear, readable explanation of this problem I've seen to date.

Excellent weite up Aaron. The other thing to keep in mind is Oracle only said 8.61, 8.62 were impacted which is not true. This setup is there on much older PeopleTools also. The one man shops were outnumbered with this one if the proper security, separated access wasn't in place.

So true! At first glance, I’m sure the way it was presented gave some admins a false sense of security. IMO, they should have just come out with an “impacts all versions of PeopleTools” announcement or something similar.

They definitely should have. This setup has been there since Change Assistant was introduced maybe even the predecessor Upgrade Assistant as you used to have to run the agents for Upgrade Assistant to work.
